Sri Lanka and Thailand signed two labor agreements to recruit 10,000 Sri Lankan workers in Thailand, ensuring their rights and addressing labor shortages. The agreements include a Memorandum of Understanding on Labor Cooperation and a Memorandum of Agreement on Employment, establishing frameworks for recruitment, legal protection, and worker welfare. The initiative strengthens bilateral labor mobility and regulatory oversight.
