The government is launching the “Diviyata Saviyak” Housing Assistance Programme for vulnerable children, including those who have transitioned from institutional care, today at the Presidential Secretariat under President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The initiative, aligned with the policy vision “A Dignified Life – A Secure Country,” allocates Rs.2 million per beneficiary for 834 children under the 2026 budget.
